Limits on Food

Sam's Club says limiting sales of rice:NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wal-Mart Stores Inc's Sam's Club warehouse division said on Wednesday that it is limiting the sale of Jasmine, Basmati and Long Grain White rices to four bags per member visit.
The retailer said the limits are due to recent "supply and demand trends," and it is working with its suppliers "to address this matter to ensure we are in stock."

This is now happening in a handful of states, two of which are California and Oregon. Will the US begin having to ration food?
NIV Revelation 6:5-8 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!" When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth. News Update

5.2 Earthquake Rocks Large Region Of Midwest

WEST SALEM, Ill. (AP) - Residents across the Midwest were awakened Friday by a 5.2 magnitude earthquake that rattled skyscrapers in Chicago's Loop and homes in Cincinnati but appeared to cause no major injuries or damage.
The quake just before 4:37 a.m. was centered six miles from West Salem, Ill., and 45 miles from Evansville, Ind. It was felt in such distant cities as Milwaukee, Des Moines, Iowa, and Atlanta, nearly 400 miles to the southeast.
"It shook our house where it woke me up," said David Behm of Philo, 10 miles south of Champaign. "Windows were rattling, and you could hear it. The house was shaking inches. For people in central Illinois, this is a big deal. It's not like California."
The news coverage of the frequency of earthquakes has recently increased. We do need to be reminded that earthquakes are daily occurrences around the world, but the recently coverage in California, Oregon, and now the Midwest seems to indicate we could be about to witness a major quake.
It was reported today that crude oil has reached an all time high, and the dollar has reached an all time low. China has surpassed the U.S. in exports. A Federal Court of Appeals recently ruled that a football coach who bowed his head while his players shared a team prayer prior to a game was in violation of the law.
Former President Carter's meeting with Hamas, a terrorist organization that has the blood of U.S. citizens on their hands, has accomplished their primary purpose of world recognition. This is truly a sad day.
We certainly need to be prepared for His soon return for His Bride, the Church!

News Note

Swarm of Earthquakes Detected Off Oregon
Apr 11, 9:04 PM (ET)By JEFF BARNARD

GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) - Scientists listening to underwater microphones have detected an unusual swarm of earthquakes off the central Oregon Coast.

Scientists don't know what the earthquakes mean, but they could be the result of magma rumbling underneath the Juan de Fuca Plate - away from the recognized earthquake faults off Oregon, said geophysicist Robert Dziak of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Oregon State University's Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, Ore.

They hope to send out the OSU research ship, Wecoma, to take water samples, looking for evidence that sediment on the ocean bottom has been stirred up and chemicals in the water that would indicate magma is moving up through the crust, Dziak said.

There have been more than 600 quakes over the past 10 days in a basin 150 miles southwest of Newport. The biggest was magnitude 5.4 and two others were more than magnitude 5.0, OSU reported. They have not followed the typical pattern of a major shock followed by a series of diminishing aftershocks, and few have been strong enough to be felt on shore.

It looks like what happens before a volcanic eruption, except there are no volcanoes in the area, Dziak said.

The Earth's crust is made up of plates that rest on molten rock, which are rubbing together side to side and up and down. When the molten rock, or magma, erupts through the crust it creates volcanoes. That can happen in the middle of a plate. When the plates lurch against each other, they create earthquakes along the edges of the plates.

In this case, the Juan de Fuca Plate is a small piece of crust being crushed between the Pacific Plate and North America, Dziak said.

On the hydrophones, the quakes sound like low rumbling thunder and are unlike anything scientists have heard in 17 years of listening, Dziak said. Some of the quakes have also been detected by earthquake instruments on land.

The hydrophones are leftover from a network the Navy used to listen for submarines during the Cold War. They routinely detect passing ships, earthquakes on the ocean bottom and whales calling to each other.

I have tried to research this report, and the only conclusion seems to be that it is new. What ever that means. Could this be a warning?

The Middle East is still boiling! Storms are now on moving towards us! Can you believe the temperature drop that is coming?

Lets continue to lookup and to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Health Update

On April Fool's Day I went back into OR at MUSC for a second procedure on my right eye! Praise the Lord it worked!! The moment I woke up I knew the things were different. I had vision, and I did not have pain.

On April 2nd, Dr. Charlene Grice check me over, and she informed me that the implant had already begun to attach. My first post operative eye test revealed that my vision was 2100. When you consider before the second surgery I could did not have enough vision to register a score.

I am now free to do moderate activities and in a matter of days I should be able to resume a full schedule. Praise the Lord!

It is not clear why I experienced the difficulties that I did, but I do know that God is always in control. Therefore, this was something that I needed to experience.

Prophecy:
  1. A glimpse at the Middle East reveals that war preparations are taking place along the borders with Israel, Lebanon and Syria.
  2. For the first time worldwide Muslims now out number Catholics.
  3. Severe weather is being forecast again for today.

Now that my sight is better I am going to try to post daily updates.
