Trouble in the Holy Land

I have received several email from the Middle East requesting pray for Israel. Walid Shoebat and Joel Rosenberg have sent emails asking for Christians to pray specifically for the peace of Jerusalem. I am preparing a brief pertaining to the current situation that I plan to email to the class shortly.

My biggest concern rest with Russia, because they are sending missiles to both Iran and Syria. This thing could get real big real soon. It sure would be a good day to fly!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

This year is almost over and the number of prophetic events that have been fulfilled are beyond my comprehension. Since 1970, the year of my ordination, I have been intrigued with the study of prophecy. For almost 40 years I have studied the works of those who exhibited an understanding of this doctrine, but I failed to anticipate the speed at which things would take place. For example, this year we experienced $4 + a gallon gas, financial crisis, and the resumption of the Cold War! Each of these events occurred over night!

In October of 1978 I made my first pilgrimage to the Holy Land. I wanted to walk where Jesus walked, and I wanted to stand on the Mount of Olives where He ascended into Heaven and He will return. When we landed in the Holy Land I felt as if I was at home. I don't believe I slept two hours any night. My first visit to the Garden Tomb overwhelmed me with every emotion. I rejoiced that the tomb was empty! But, I grieved when I thought of the suffering He endured for me and all of mankind. The tomb was sealed by a huge round stone, and the slot that it rolled in was clearly visible upon entry. I thought of the events that must have taken place in the tomb on Resurrection Morning! I looked for the place when the grave clothes must have been found. I imagined the sounds of the stone being rolled away, and the angelic praises that must have filled the tomb.

Now, I am experiencing a similar experience, because I believe our Lord is soon to return! Today would be a great day to fly!

If you did not get an email (Bible Study) from couldflytoday@yahoo.com, send me an email to that address and you will be added for future studies.

Coming Judgment
Romans 2:
16 - In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
The news has a few bright spots, but for most the news is not good. Here are a few items that seem to be hard to fix.
  1. Worldwide financial crisis with bank failures.
  2. Solving Big three auto makers money problems.
  3. Financial scams the latest cost $50
  4. Middle East Peace.
  5. Global violence especially Greece.
Six division of His judgment in Romans 2:
  1. Judgment will be based on TRUTH: 2 - But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
  2. Judgment on our WORKS: 6 - Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
  3. Judgment will be IMPARTIAL: 11 - For there is no respect of persons with God.
  4. Judgment will be based on PERFORMANCE: 13 - (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers (performer) of the law shall be justified.
  5. Judgment of the HEART: 15 – Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
  6. Jesus will be the JUDGE: 16 - In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
Jesus is the real reason for the season! But, He is also our future judge! For believers at the Judgment Seat of Christ and unbelievers at the Great White Throne!

December Bible Study

The blog does not allow the formatting I prefer, but you should be able to utilize the following study on the Rapture of the Church.

1 Thessalonians 4
13 - But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
(Believers are not to be ignorant concerning those who have died.)
(Believers are not to sorrow as others who have no hope.)

14 - For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
(We must believe the Gospel, Jesus live, died, and rose again.) - 1 Corinthians 15: 1-8
(Jesus will bring the dead in Christ with Him.)
(Absent in the body present with the Lord.)

15 - For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
(Prevent means the living will not precede the dead in Christ.)
(Asleep refers to believers who have died.)

16 - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
(The shout of the Lord Himself!)
(The voice of an archangel!)
(The trumpet of God!)

17 - Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
(Rapture: living believers will be caught up [snatched up] together with other believers in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.)

18 - Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
(These are words of comfort.)

1 Corinthians 15
51 - Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
Mystery: We shall not all die, but we will all be changed.

52 - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(The rapture will occur in an instant.)
(The dead will rise first.)
(All shall be changed.)

53 - For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Mortal must become immortal.

54 - So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 - O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 - The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 - But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today sure would be a good day to see Him!
