Class Update

Tomorrow Night: we will continue our study in 2 Peter, chapters 2 & 3. I believe you will find this study extremely insightful when you consider what is taking place today. Recently, we have seen that the last days will be those of deceit and confusion.

It seems in many ways we have lost out way. Here are a few things that need to be considered:
Today's morality compared to the 50's school offenses!
  1. Chewing gum compared to drugs!
  2. Talking in class compared to assault!
  3. Running the the halls compared to rape!
  4. Shooting spit balls compared to school shootings!
  5. Breaking in lunch line compared to gang violence!

Many educators believe that we need to be progressive not old fashioned or old schooled, but if a person has any common sense they should realize that back in the day we were bless to live in communities with unlocked doors and when a gentleman's agreement, a man's word was his bond.

Tody Would Be A Great Day To Fly!

Luke 21
29 - And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 - When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 - So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 - Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33 - Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Thinking about the likewise! The Fig Tree & All The Trees!
Many good Bible scholars believe that the fig tree is Israel, and this has been my belief for decades. Recently, I had the privilege of hearing Walid Shoebat, a former terrorist, who pointed out the importance of the word together in Daniel 2:35.
"Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth."
Daniel 2:36-45
  1. The Iron & Clay is Revived Roman Empire
  2. The Iron was Roman Empire
  3. The Brass was Greek Empire
  4. The Silver was Med0-Persian Empire (Iran)
  5. The Gold was Babylon Empire (Iraqi)

The rebirth of the former and future national regions did not become a reality until the conclusion of World War I. Because, the Ottoman Empire joined the Germans, and the end result was the dismantling of the empire. Therefore, the nations that make up a modern map of the Middle East fulfill the prophecy of the tree and trees. It is out of these former world empires that the anti-christ will emerge.

This has occured in our generation. It sure would be a good day to fly!

Final Medical Update

Note, I have title this update as final. The pain I have been experiencing has been caused by water blisters on my cornea not eye pressure. I had noticed that my vision improved later in the day, therefore, I knew the implant was working. Now, that we know the problem, healing has already begun. Dr. Grice prescribed medication to remove the excess fluid, and a medication to promote healing for the blisters. Praise the Lord my vision began to improve immediately.
That's why I have title this my Final Medical Update! I want to thank each of you for your prayers, but please, don't stop praying. After I saw the doctor I went by ICU at MUSC and visited with Ray Ashford, the husband of Diane Duncan Ashford. She is to be taken off of the ventilator sometime today.
Prophecy Update
  1. Who would have ever thought that in the Fall of 2008 we would be facing a worldwide financial meltdown? It not hard to see that a one world economy is here!
  2. Who is going to solve our financial problems? It not hard to see that a world leader is standing in the shadows!
  3. Who is this one world leader? I believe the rapture will precede his unveiling! Today sure would be a good day to fly!

Update 6

On Tuesday the the procedure appeared to go well. Dr. Grice was please with the position of the implant, but I began to have pain which was caused by and increase in eye pressure. For the implant to take I need the pressure to push it against my cornea. In fact, the implant had begun to work. I went home expecting my vision to clear up. My experience with this eye has been similar to my right eye in that I had to have both eyes re-floated. But, the complications have differed.
The implant in my right eye wanted to float and get out of position. In the left eye the implant has not moved. It is in the right position, and the implant has begun to attach. But for some reason it does not want to completely graft. Dr. Grice believes it will, and she tells me to be patience.
It is Sunday afternoon and I have experienced an odd discomfort so I asked Doug to take care of the evening service. I am so grateful to have both Doug and John to call on while I continue to recover. They both are dedicated men who simply seek to serve our Lord.
Due to the uncertainty of my eye I feel it is best to cancel the ABI class on Tuesday Night. I sure trust that this will be the last class we will need to put on hold. May God richly bless you and yours.
