News & Views

This is a reminder that I will teach 3/4/08, and then I will drive to Charleston. My surgery is scheduled for 6 am on the 5th. I can hardly wait to have my vision restored. PTL!

This past week has been filled with all kind of interesting stuff:
  1. Israel has come under a contant attack from Hamas firing rockets into border towns. Ashkelon, population of 120, 000 plus, and Sderot, the city to suffer the first death from these rocket attacks. It is rumored that the violence could spread into the West Bank.
  2. The Israeli army reported on Monday that all of the long-range rockets fired by Hamas against southern Israel were manufactured by arch-foe Iran.
  3. The Jerusalem Post reported that Hamas have positioned 2,000 + militants in northern Gaza to fight against the IDF using US weapons. Weapons they seized form Fatah controlled Palestinan Authority security forces this past June. Is this the price Israel pays for the peace effort?
  4. A strong earthquake shakes the Philippines. An earthquake of 6.9 magnitude rocked the Bicol region southeast of Manila late Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
  5. President Hugo Chavez ordered tanks and thousands of troops on Sunday to the border with Columbia, accusing it of pushing South America to the brink of war by killing a top rebel leader on Ecuadorean soil.

In times like these we need to look up, because we could fly today!

If we don't get to have ABI class on Tuesday evening, it is because The Lord has come back for US. Thank you Lord Jesus and "come on".
Pastor, I hope your surgery goes well and you will have a speedy recovery.
Will see you Tuesday night, "Lord willing"
