This past week has been filled with all kind of interesting stuff:
This past week has been filled with all kind of interesting stuff:
- Israel has come under a contant attack from Hamas firing rockets into border towns. Ashkelon, population of 120, 000 plus, and Sderot, the city to suffer the first death from these rocket attacks. It is rumored that the violence could spread into the West Bank.
- The Israeli army reported on Monday that all of the long-range rockets fired by Hamas against southern Israel were manufactured by arch-foe Iran.
- The Jerusalem Post reported that Hamas have positioned 2,000 + militants in northern Gaza to fight against the IDF using US weapons. Weapons they seized form Fatah controlled Palestinan Authority security forces this past June. Is this the price Israel pays for the peace effort?
- A strong earthquake shakes the Philippines. An earthquake of 6.9 magnitude rocked the Bicol region southeast of Manila late Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
- President Hugo Chavez ordered tanks and thousands of troops on Sunday to the border with Columbia, accusing it of pushing South America to the brink of war by killing a top rebel leader on Ecuadorean soil.
In times like these we need to look up, because we could fly today!

News & Views
These have been real eventful days with a number of interesting things happening.
- Iranians are going full steam ahead in their production of a nuke.
- 6.3 quake hits Nevada.
- Record snow fall and temperatures continue to be registered.
- Record storms & tornado's have become daily occurrences.
- Rumors of the division of Jerusalem continue surface.
If the birthpains have started we will continue to see these types of activities grow more severe and more frequent.
Matthew 24
7 - For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 - All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Looks like it is time for us to look up!

Big, Big News Day
- Israel has gone on war footing, because of the threats that are coming from Hezbollah.
- Earthquakes in Southern Greece, Mexico, and Israel.
- Coldest winter on record as well as record snow fall in some states.
- Al Qaida Plot to kill Philippine president discovered.
- Traps found on Border with Mexico intended to kill border agents.
- Economic news coming out of Washington is not good.
- The effects of the housing crisis is not over despite Washington's efforts .
These are just a few of todays headlines that are worth watching. Truly, we are living in exciting times. I believe the world is experiencing birth pains as described in Matthew 24.
If the birth pains have begun, the news is just going to get worse. We may be with our wonderful Savior before this day ends. We will not be disappointed if we know Him.
The Bible describes our relationship with Him as being intimate. Do you know Him personally? If not, you will find the following verses helpfull.
Romans 10
9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 - For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 - For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 - For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Jerusalem Watch Update
Great class last night!
Today, we need to pray for those who were effected by the storms that swept through the Southeast last night. The death toll has reached 50 plus with rescue efforts still on going. One news source has estimated that there were at least 70 tornadoes with some staying on the ground for at least an hour. This was a mega storm!
If we are in the birth pains as described in Matthew 24, natural disasters will become more frequent and severe. It is time for us to look up because the "Rapture of the Church" could be today! PTL!
Last year, I announced that I was planning a future trip to the Holy Land. We will walk in the footsteps of our Lord along the Mediterranean Sea, the Sea of Galilee, the Dead Sea, the Jordan River, the streets of Jerusalem, and points in between. One visit to Calvary and the Garden Tomb will be an experience that will be with you for a life time.
The tour will also feature one night on the Mediterranean Sea, two nights on the Sea of Galilee, two nights on the Dead Sea, and the remainder in Jerusalem. If you have an interest in going this Fall or in the Spring of 2009, please let me know.
Remember, we must continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
